Tutut

(Balance bike for toddlers)

The “Tutut” is a very small balance bike with four wheels (wheels from inline skates). Even children as young as 18 months, who have just learned to walk, enjoy using this balance bike. The first prototype was already in use by four children before they switched to a “real” two-wheeled balance bike (the www.likeabike.de, or the Puky balance bike) about a year later.

The track width is about 80 mm. The wheelbase is about 300 mm. The bike therefore requires a certain sense of balance and an awareness of centrifugal forces. However, the child can ride straight ahead without having to balance. Thanks to its narrow design, children can move around the apartment much more nimbly and effortlessly than with wide plastic ride-on cars.

The bike pictured here is a further development that a carpenter could likely build in less than two hours. Like all Aurilion products, the Tutut is produced in very small batches.
