Squirrel

 

The Squirrel is a further development of the Loremo concept, incorporating the experience gained from that project. Since all rights held by Loremo AG have expired or been relinquished, Aurilion has complete freedom to implement the project. The dimensions, basic technology, planned drive variants, technical specifications, and performance metrics have proven themselves or been verified within the framework of the Loremo project and will remain essentially unchanged. However, specific design details are being optimized. The first prototype phase of the Squirrel can thus achieve a high level of maturity with minimal investment.
Loremo AG, which is currently in liquidation, does not itself possess any know-how or rights that would be significant for the further development of the Loremo concept, and even the marginal assets to which it is entitled are being sabotaged by the old, hostile environment.
A fresh start with a new name and image should therefore be the most promising course of action. The intellectual assets of the project remain unaffected by this and are clearly promising.
The &qout;Squirrel&qout; from &qout;Aurilion&qout; (or, if desired, under a different name and with other partners) will move forward!

The Squirrel is a vehicle concept designed for minimal energy and resource consumption. In terms of performance, driving pleasure, transport capacity, and safety, it is the most resource-efficient vehicle concept known to us worldwide. Thanks to its simple construction using cost-effective and sustainable materials, it also outperforms all other vehicle concepts in terms of overall cost-effectiveness for production volumes of up to 10,000 units per year.

The core element of the concept is a structure made of bent sheet steel parts weighing approximately 100 kg, which meets all crash test requirements with flying colors. The structure features longitudinal beams running the entire length of the vehicle at bumper height, which do not have to absorb bending stresses and therefore achieve maximum strength with minimal weight.

Distinctive features of this unique body concept-designed to achieve weight savings, aerodynamics, and safety-include upward-opening doors, rear emergency seats positioned further back, and sliding windows integrated into the side windows. Avoiding these features would mean abandoning the concept and its positive attributes and should not be considered during the course of the project.
(We've already gone through these experiences in a completely nonsensical way, and even the wonderful &qout;Aptera&qout; car project failed back then because of nearly identical nonsensical requirements from the &qout;experts&qout; who didn't want it to deviate too much from ordinary cars. We'll just mention the keyword &qout;retractable side window&qout;...)

A business plan for the Squirrel project has been drawn up. In terms of the ratio of development costs to projected revenue and profit, this project is certainly one of the most attractive in the automotive sector. The history of the Loremo is described at whokilledthe3litercar.de/loremo.htm (only in German language). Perseverance will continue to be essential for the project's success. Furthermore, the entire team, including investors, should consistently support the concept established at the outset and not allow themselves to be swayed during the course of the project by "experts" advocating conventional passenger car concepts or specific solutions for relevant components.
However, the project is certainly well-suited to attracting enormous attention with a very modest investment, as the predecessor project has already demonstrated.
Specifically, the goal of the first phase would be to launch a prototype series with minimal investment and, after the series begins production in less than three years, to generate a positive narrative through consistent visibility.
