The Alagi, too, easily outpaces any standard upright bike under most conditions (including road bikes), though it isn't quite as fast as the Earthglider. In return, it offers a seating position and eye level that are about 150 mm higher (roughly equivalent to that of a driver in a standard passenger car). Above all, it offers an excellent balance between performance (i.e., speed and smoothness) and a quick relearning period for upright cyclists, as well as minimal "recumbent bike anxiety". The Alagi is something of a gateway model at a high performance level.

The Alagi shares most of its components with the Earthglider. Only the frame's Z-shape and the connecting plates from the frame clamps to the rear seat post differ. This means that, should you become hooked, switching to the Earthglider later on involves comparatively low conversion costs.

A striking difference from the Earthglider is the nearly crossover-free chain routing past the front wheel. The front wheel's largely unrestricted movement relative to the chain makes many new riders insecure, even if its significance in everyday use shouldn't be overestimated. Nevertheless, you’ll need to pause your pedaling motion when taking tighter turns.

The seat height is approximately 450 mm. The other technical specifications and the retail price are largely the same.
